What do we offer as part of welding robot programming?

Programming of welding robots this is not just creating motion paths – it’s the key to faster production and perfect welds without rework. That’s why our support includes the full range of implementation and optimization services, from equipment configuration to final quality tests. Our projects and experience cover a wide range of activities:

Definition of a welding cycle: determination of the optimal parameters of the welding process, such as current, voltage, wire feed speed, shielding gas flow, matched to the material and geometry of the welded component.
Creation and optimization of motion trajectories: programming precise paths of the welding tool, taking into account the geometry of the part, weld accessibility, and avoiding collisions with the environment.
Integration of vision systems: the use of cameras and vision systems for locating the part, precise robot positioning, and real-time weld quality control.
Configuration of safety systems: implementation of safety functions, such as protective zones, safety scanners or emergency stop buttons, in accordance with ISO 10218 standards and other requirements.
Control logic programming: creating algorithms that control the operation of a robot, e.g. sequencing operations, communication with other machines on the production line, and handling signals from supervisory systems.
Commissioning and testing: verification of the correctness of the robot program at the production workstation, calibration of parameters, and performance and quality tests.
Technical documentation: preparation of complete software and technical documentation, including schematics, descriptions of control logic and operating instructions.

Do you want to optimize the robotic workstations in your facility?

We deliver solutions that really increase line efficiency.

Your experienced partner in programming welding robots

We gained our practical know-how during deployments for global industry leaders. As a result, we do not experiment on your production line. We provide solutions that squeeze maximum performance out of robots, shortening cycle time to a minimum. We know the realities of welding inside out, which is why we deliver programs optimized for reliability, weld cleanliness and safety.

No complications caused by a change in personnel

The industry standard is a high turnover of specialists, which often leads to unforeseen delays and complications in the implementation process. At Amister, we emphasize the stability of our team.

We ensure minimal staff turnover on the project, guaranteeing that key specialists remain engaged from start to finish.
At the planning stage, we take workload into account to ensure project continuity and protect you from unnecessary downtime.
Your project is being carried out by a permanent team of experienced engineers, which minimizes the risk of errors and streamlines communication.

Transparency of the process and a partnership approach

We have observed that clients often have to contact multiple people to determine the progress of a project, which makes it difficult to manage subsequent actions. We also know that unclear scopes of work and expectations can lead to conflicts.

Each project is coordinated by a dedicated Team Leader, who is your sole point of contact, ensuring clear communication and full visibility into the progress of the work.
We clearly define the project’s and the contract’s boundary conditions so that you can be confident that all obligations will be met in accordance with the original assumptions.
We prioritize a partnership approach, building an atmosphere of collaboration that fosters faster problem-solving and accelerates project delivery.

Guarantee of quality and timeliness

Many projects on the market are carried out by people without appropriate experience, which translates into lower quality of execution. At Amister, we care about the development and quality of our team.

The core of the project is made up of our most experienced programmers, who remain involved from start to finish, guaranteeing complete professionalism.
We do not send “greenhorns” to key tasks – our engineers hold documented certificates and many years of experience in programming welding robots.
Our team has experience working with key safety systems such as Kuka SafeOperation, Fanuc DCS, and ABB SafeMove, providing the highest level of protection.

Mercedes Benz engine assembly line Jawor

Project objective: Commissioning and integration of robotic assembly lines for gasoline and diesel engines in the new Mercedes-Benz factory, with an emphasis on process precision, high efficiency, and meeting rigorous OEM quality standards.
Industrial robotics: The project included programming Kuka robots and their commissioning and synchronization in automated and semi-automated assembly cells, performing handling and assembly operations and interfacing with process systems.
Scope of work: The team was responsible for integrating robots with tightening, dispensing and quality control systems, synchronizing the operation of robotic cells with the flow of material within the production lines, and for testing, cycle optimization and support for the technological start-up of the Rumpf, Kalttest and Endmontage lines.
Technologies: The project used KUKA robots, Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 controllers programmed in the TIA Portal environment, SINAMICS S120 drives, NeuroCheck and COGNEX vision systems, and specialist process technologies from the companies SCA, Atlas Copco, Cleco and JW Froehlich.

Installation of the V8 engine cylinder head – Jaguar Land Rover (NC11)

Project objective: Commissioning and comprehensive integration of an assembly line for V8 engine cylinder heads (NC11) at Jaguar Land Rover’s Wolverhampton factory, aimed at stable series production, full product traceability (traceability), and rigorous quality control.
Industrial robotics: The project involved programming and commissioning ABB robots operating in a mixed system comprising automatic and semi-automatic stations. The units performed precise handling operations and automated quality control, working closely with advanced vision systems to verify the correctness of component assembly.
Scope of work: The team was responsible for creating and modifying PLC control logic in the BMW TA standard (adapted to JLR requirements) and for the full synchronization of the flow of paired parts (left and right head). The scope of work included integration of robotics with vision systems, control of conveyors and buffers, handling of press-fitting and oiling technologies, and connecting the line to an expanded structure of supervisory systems (CIMPOS, CIMTRACK, SCIEMETRIC).
Technologies: The project used ABB robots, Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 controllers programmed in TIA Portal, and SINAMICS S120 drives. The quality control systems were based on Keyence cameras, Cognex Dataman scanners, and Vision Tools software, integrating everything with measurement systems and EST screwdrivers as well as RFID technology to validate the production sequence.
